- The model was developed in 2004–2017 at the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VNIIOkeangeology” and is enshrined in more than 20 patents for inventions.
- The method is based on placing the three-component acoustic emission sensors and field laboratories in a seismically active region; detailed study of the territory and constant analysis of incoming data.
- Field experiments have confirmed that the system can predict an earthquake from 28 minutes to 6 days before it occurs.
- The technique has been tested and experimentally verified in various seismically active regions, such as Xiao Nan Hai (China) and Kamchatka.
